Mountain views that took my breath
The incredible morning sun rising over the mountains from my balcony was truly magical, and the ski-in/ski-out access made hitting the slopes effortless. Breakfast on the terrace was the highlight!
While the scenic views were captivating, the steep, icy path back to the hotel after dinner was quite a challenge—definitely not ideal for tired legs. The dining experience could use some improvement.

Staying at the Sowell in La Plagne was quite an adventure. The mountain views from my double room balcony were absolutely breathtaking, making mornings feel special. Comfortable beds helped ensure a good night's sleep after a long day on the slopes. Ski-in/ski-out access right from the hotel was super convenient, letting me get to the slopes hassle-free. The breakfast selection at the buffet offered great variety, with nice options for fueling up before heading out. getting back to the hotel after dinner was a workout due to the steep and icy paths, definitely not ideal if you’re tired after a long day. The restaurant food left something to be desired. some meals felt cold and uninviting, which wasn’t what I expected given the prices. I also noticed a lack of USB charging sockets in the room, which felt outdated. If they could improve the dining experience and address the path to the hotel, it would elevate the whole stay significantly.

The balcony view was stunning—mountains stretched as far as the eye could see, making mornings something special. Ski-in/ski-out access was killer, letting us hit the slopes straight from the hotel without any hassle.
The path to the hotel was a real workout—steep and icy, particularly a struggle after dinner. There were no USB charging sockets in the room, which felt outdated for today's standards. I also found the presentation of the buffet food to be lacking, with meals often arriving cold and uninviting. They really need to step up the culinary game. an occasional dry chicken or burned rice was noted, which isn't what you'd expect when paying this much. Finally, the pool could use some heating if it wants to attract more guests looking to relax after a long day on the slopes.
